Flood Simulation and Flood Risk Reduction Strategy in Irrigated Areas

چکیده
The potential risk of flood or waterlogging in irrigation districts has increased due to global climate change and intensive human activities. This paper employed a process simulation model for flat the paddy fields simulate floods under different scenarios. scenarios rainfall conditions, initial storage depths, work scales are designed, respectively. damage increases as increases, with maximum increase 62.8%, comparing extreme scenario current scenario. A moderate rise pumping station flow using pre-rain drainage measures can effectively reduce loss. total regional was reduced by up 10.9%, 15.8%, 35.9% when pump study area 10%, 20%, 30%. insights from this possible future events may help control planning.

A Framework for Flood Risk Analysis and Benefit Assessment of Flood Control Measures in Urban Areas
Flood risk analysis is more complex in urban areas than that in rural areas because of their closely packed buildings, different kinds of land uses, and large number of flood control works and drainage systems. The purpose of this paper is to propose a practical framework for flood risk analysis and benefit assessment of flood control measures in urban areas. Based on the concept of disaster ri...
متن کاملFlood Risk Impact Factor for Comparatively Evaluating the Main Causes that Contribute to Flood Risk in Urban Drainage Areas
Among the various factors that contribute to flood risk, heavy storms, inadequate storm drainage systems, and the concentration of population and assets have usually been considered to be fundamental factors affecting flood damage. Climate change is also a real threat, bringing heavier and more frequent storms. This study presents a methodology for comparatively evaluating the impact of the flo...
متن کاملGIS - based Flood Risk Analysis Across Large Metropolitan Areas
This paper examines the effects of urbanization on the flood hazard in semi-arid/arid southern California using traditional hydrograph, frequency-magnitude and statistical analysis augmented with GIS-based variable parameterizations and visualizations. It was found that the peak flood discharges were significantly increased in urban watersheds in conjunction with increasing mean baseflow in the...

Extended abstract 1- Introduction An examination of the number of floods in recent years shows that floods are no longer a rare sudden disaster, but a growing phenomenon that, at any given time, causes a lot of damage, including life and death. As a result of interference in natural environments, the presence of multiple structures, and the lack of appropriate measures to protect these env...
